Rally: Five-Day Weekend Initiative

Tues., July 31

No, it isn't a joke, but it might be worth a laugh. On Tues., JULY 31, the International Leisure Club lays off the snooze button to join the FIVE-DAY WEEKEND INITIATIVE, a movement for America's working-class heroes. Word at the water cooler is that advancements in technology since 1930, when the five-day work week was conceived, can solve our nation's overworked/overstressed epidemic. Clock out early and come get a poster, bumper sticker, pamphlet and more information on the cause. Free. 4 p.m. Freedom Parkway and Boulevard. www.fivedayweekend.org.
