Reading: Walt Whitman

Sat., May 30

In honor of Walt Whitman's 190th birthday, Poetry Atlanta and Composition Gallery host literary celebration THE PATH WORN IN THE GRASS. Taking their cue from the poet himself – "there is no stoppage and never can be stoppage" – the event will be a nonstop poetry-reading marathon of Whitman's famed "Song of Myself." Readers include Stephen Bluestone, Theresa Davis, Rupert Fike, Collin Kelley and Alice Lovelace. Free. 8 p.m. Composition Gallery, 1388 McLendon Ave. 678-982-9764.
