"The largest movement in the world" is made up of countless independent environmental and social-justice advocates. So explains best-selling author PAUL HAWKEN in his latest book, Blessed Unrest (right). Hawken has for decades advocated environmentally conscious capitalism both as a writer (his 2000 book Natural Capitalism argues that the rise of Earth-friendly businesses will constitute a new industrial revolution), and as an entrepreneur (he founded the natural-foods company Erewhon and is the co-namesake of yuppie-gardening-snob favorite Smith & Hawken). Hawken's book tour stops in Atlanta on Wed., MAY 23. Free. 7 p.m. Carter Center, 453 Freedom Parkway. 404-420-5100. www.cartercenter.org.
