TV Talk: The Feb. 1 Paso Robles Grand Tasting Tour at the Fox Theatre also will serve as a casting call for the upcoming PBS show "The Winemakers." The six-part series will star five contestants, each of whom will compete for a chance to launch his or her own wine label. According to producers, "contestants must endure backbreaking work" as they "test their mettle in every aspect of the wine industry, from viticulture to enology to sales and marketing."

Media Talk: Following the launch of an Atlanta edition of slick fashion and social magazine Paper City, as well as the more recent debut of an Atlanta incarnation of Harlem-based UPTOWN, two more publications will be hitting the ATL's newsstands soon. The Atlantan, from the publishers of L.A. luxury mag Angeleno, is due out this spring. Also this spring, South Beach's venerable Ocean Drive is adding Atlanta to its mix with the magazine Peach, led by former Paper City Editor Elizabeth Schulte Roth.

Restaurant Talk: The Fifth Group, which owns and operates South City Kitchen in Midtown, Sala: Sabor de Mexico in Morningside, the Food Studio at King Plow Arts Center, and La Tavola Trattoria in Virginia-Highland will open its next restaurant, Ecco, in April. Located in the old Atlanta Fencing Club building on Seventh Street, Ecco will feature Italian and Mediterranean dishes and be open late. The group is also opening a Vinings location of South City Kitchen in February.
