Record Review - 3 March 09 2005

Hello darling,

It’s nice to have you in the loving arms of pure country music once again, where your sweet voice belongs. You had us wrapped around your finger five years ago with I Hope You Dance, and the dance was a joyous one. But something happened. You changed, and lost touch with your roots when you thought the simple life was Something Worth Leaving Behind. Our country girl got all citified, and we didn’t know you anymore. But here we are, together again. Welcome home.

You did the right thing. You looked inward and you looked backward, and what you saw brought you around. There’s More Where That Came From tells of lessons learned and challenges at least faced, if not conquered. It’s been a hard ride, but you survived. Maybe your nostalgia for that time “Twenty Years and Two Husbands Ago” fueled the fling that made you think “I May Hate Myself in the Morning.” But you realized that wasn’t the road to “Happiness,” and we forgive you.

The journey wasn’t all bad, was it? The hopefulness of a reunion “When You Get to Me” underlies your desire for reconciliation, and we were all “Waiting for the Sun to Shine.” Thankfully, it shines brightly once again.

There’s no doubt that Tammy, Dolly and Loretta are proud to welcome you back into their circle. We just hope that you are home to stay.??
