Sake Dinner with Yoshi Yumoto, VP of Gekkeikan sake

Explore the world of sake with our honored tour guide, Yoshi Yumoto, VP of Gekkeikan, makers of the world's finest sake.

He will take us on a journey to explore the history and art form of sake with a 4-course dinner pairing. Tickets are $45 per person. RSVP at 404.477.6111.

First Course
Oysters on a half shell
topped with mango salsa


-paired with - 

Gekkeikan Zipang
flavors of Asian pear, raspberry, elderflower & lemongrass on the nose,
followed by lime zest on the palate & a sparkling finish


 
Second Course
Duck Eggrolls
slow roasted duck with orange sauce & carrots served with a plum sauce

Gekkiekan Traditional
light & clean with notes of fennel & fresh cut grass
Gekkiekan Black & Gold
a special blend of two sakes with tropical fruit aromas, papaya taste & a savory finish        
Gekkiekan Horin
with anise, green apple, lemon verbena, lime leaf & eucalyptus

 
Third Course
Korean Beef
grilled beef marinated in Korean spices, served with a homemade kimchi &
scallion & baby bok choy omelette

Gekkiekan Nigori
peach, banana & mango reveal the character of this mildly creamy sake with subtle notes of citrus

 
 
Fourth Course
Banana Fruit Foster
fresh strawberries, bananas & pineapple with brandy & brown sugar served over vanilla bean ice cream

Gekkiekan Plum Wine
flourishes with notes of raisin, pecan pie, nutmeg & candied oranges
