BRANFORD MARSALIS, ORPHEUS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA -- Jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis and classical ensemble the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra are revisiting late 19th- and 20th-century classical works influenced by jazz and pre-jazz popular music. Their recent collaborative CD features compositions by Satie, Debussy, Ravel, Milhaud and others, and tonight's concert highlights some of these works, with a particular focus on music from the 1920s. In HARDWARE:THE PENIS SHOW, dick takes the spotlight as artists such as Chris Verene, Jill Larson, Barb Doll ("Double Phallephoric Mime-fool," xxx) and others pay tribute to the phallus with paintings, photographs, sculpture and video at Eyedrum Art and Music Gallery. The exhibit opens symbolically on Armed Forces Day, MAY 19, with a reception featuring musical guests the Amazing Lizardos and Glory Hole and the Phabulous Phallic Phabulons. 8 p.m.-midnight.
