Musiq Soulchild, WAD Art Walk and more

September 16 Wednesday

Although usually tagged as a neo-soul singer, Philadelphia native MUSIQ SOULCHILD has never been an artist to confine himself to one musical niche; he fuses jazz, soul, hip-hop, funk and R&B on urban-radio hits such as 2000's "Love" and 2002's "Halfcrazy." Appropriately enough, Musiq continues his legacy of musical variety in a city renowned for its aural and cultural diversity when he performs in support of his latest Atlantic Records release, Onmyradio. $25. 8:30 p.m. Center Stage Atlanta, 1374 W. Peachtree St. 404-885-1365. (Ben Fisher)

September 19 Saturday

The first of the Westside Arts District's 3RD SATURDAY ART WALKS began back in February and has been going strong as the district continues to get some deserved recognition. If your feet get tired during the one-mile trek, have a seat and take a sip at Octane Coffee while local artist Gates Luck discusses his work. Free-$5. 11 a.m.-5 p.m. 535 Means St. (Elizabeth Fletcher)
