Claiming Brooklyn, NY and Dallas, TX as their home turf, Snarky Puppy blends elements of jazz, rock, and funk (although jazz is the truly thriving component), giving rise to a sound that’s both progressive and funky. For more, check out the group’s latest, Ground Up (Ropeadope), which will be on full display for this show. Banda Magda opens with a set of Latin grooves played to the tune of Magda Giannikou’s French pop lyrics, accordion, and piano.
