JOE DIFFIE -- One of the few continuously entertaining artists to emerge from Nashville in the past decade, Joe Diffie keeps his country music fresh with even doses of hard-core honky-tonk, top-notch weepers, and an irreverent sense of humor. Mixing to-the-bone heartbroke ballads like "Is It Cold In Here?" with off-the-wall ditties like "Third Rock from the Sun," Diffie's relaxed, good-natured style has made him a fan favorite. His latest effort A Night to Remember, released last year, shows an artist whose talents are only deepening. North Georgia State Fair/2245 Callaway Rd., Marietta (Thompson)
