Steve Miller Band

Fly Like an Eagle: 30th Anniversary Edition

Thirty years after its original release, three of the Fly Like an Eagle's biggest hits remain unavoidable staples of classic rock. The bluesy, guitar-driven -- and insanely catchy -- "Rock 'N Me," "Take the Money and Run" and the title track are as evocative and enduring as anything released in the musically turbulent mid-'70s, when disco was on the rise and punk was learning to crawl. Now, with the release of the deluxe version of the album, fans of Miller's unmistakable Texas blues meets San Fran psychedelia can replace that worn-out LP or eight-track tape with a truly in-depth package. The whole album -- originally recorded to be a quadraphonic listening experience -- is included in a remastered surround sound mix, along with rare demos, an interesting interview with the reclusive Miller and a two-hour concert DVD, with special guests and extended jams of his biggest hits.
