Two locales you probably never imagined you'd see cozying up for a cross-cultural hug: Douglasville and the Kingdom of Denmark. In celebration of the bicentennial of the birth of Danish homeboy Hans Christian Andersen, author of The Ugly Duckling and The Princess and the Pea, the Cultural Arts Center of Douglasville/Douglas County is featuring the Hans Christian Andersen Bicentennial. The exhibition features Andersen's writings, sketches, life story and examples of his intricate paper cuttings and elaborate "scissor writing," stories executed with paper. Free. Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sun., 1-5 p.m. Through Jan. 31. 8652 Campbellton St. 770-949-2787. www.artsdouglas.org.
