Since dropping a handful of Big Dada remixes, along with his 2010 Stacker Upper debut, Montreal producer Lunice has helmed a steady course to the top of left-field hip-hop. Either with his solo tracks or teamed up with Glasgow instrumental hip-hop producer Hudson Mohawke as TNGHT, Lunice’s massive sounds raise the bar for producers attempting to mix heady hip-hop with dance-floor grooves. Lunice makes his way to Atlanta on Fri., Dec. 27, to open the first of Sound Tribe Sector 9’s five-night NYE residency.
