Style: SCAD Style

Wed.-Thurs., April 28-May 6

The best things in life are free – especially when you're broke. Gurus flock to Atlanta to dispense free advice on everything from fashion to interior decorating for this year's SCAD STYLE. Worthy highlights include lectures by DwellStudio founder Christiane Lemieux on design, and author/reality TV star Kelly Cutrone on PR, branding and marketing, with a book signing afterward. Panels span topics like "From Magazine to Monitor: The Rise of the Blog" with such bloggers as Rita Konig from the New York Times, and "Style Happens Here" with Atlantans Suzanne Kasler and Sid Mashburn, while "Sustainability: From Idea to Action" includes a range of architects and designers. See website for a complete schedule. Savannah College of Art and Design Atlanta, 1600 Peachtree St. 404-253-3100. www.scadstyle.com.
