INMAN PARK FESTIVAL — The second day of this two-day event invites different styles of music to the main stage: Vebo’s bluegrass and acoustic folk, Cowboy Envy’s old-time western music, Sonya Vetra’s pop/rock, Ten Degrees Off’s rocking blues, Gwen Hughes Quartet’s jazz pop and the Big Peach Swing Band’s jazz standards. The Creators Gift 137, Inc., a non-profit organization that strives to help people find their purpose in life and fulfill it, wants to educate the public on the significance of dredlocks. Not just a fad hairstyle, locks will be celebrated at {DRED}LOCKS ~ ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE, including a photography exhibit, live music, gourmet vegetarian cuisine, a film about natural hair titled 400 Years Without a Comb and a panel discussion with three “goddess lockticians” Tassili, Dwana and Kahmadi.
