If you're begging for more of the bard during the waning days of summer, the New American Shakespeare Tavern's THREEPEAT will gladly give you a dose. Opening AUG. 3-5, the event features three comedies performed earlier in the season: The Taming of the Shrew, The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing. The actors are given three days to remember their lines and rehearse before the show is put on so there is no telling what will happen when they get on the stage (see story
). Tickets are $10 for Fri. and Sun. performances, $15 for Sat. Every weekend through Aug. 26. 499 Peachtree St. 404-874-5299.
THE WILD MAGNOLIAS -- Those who've never experienced the eye-dazzling display of New Orleans' Indians, complete with brightly feathered costumes are in for a spectacle. Better still, the legendary tribe lays down a percussive, funky groove as potent as any Crescent City band. They usually play festivals, where three or more generations crowd on stage, so seeing them in this cozy club is an experience you shouldn't miss. Smith's Olde Bar (Horowitz)
