Comedy

Although he’s a pretty stereotypical New Yorker, BILL BURR offers a much-needed breath of fresh air in comedy. Not to imply that he’s clean — Burr’s act is actually quite brash and abrasive — but it’s nice to hear someone tell it like it is. His willingness to confront race issues in an honest yet uproarious way is probably why he’s worked frequently alongside Dave Chappelle and appeared on Howard Stern. Burr, in Atlanta Thurs.-Sun., JAN. 25-28, also has shot his own Comedy Central special and just recently inked a development deal with HBO. $17.50-$20. Thurs., 7 p.m.; Fri., 8 and 10 p.m.; Sat., 7, 9 and 11 p.m.; Sun., 7:30 p.m. 280 Hilderbrand Drive. 404-252-5233. www.punchline.com.
