Tav Falco & the Unapproachable Panther Burns

When: Fri., Oct. 19, 8 p.m. 2012
Price: $10
Tav Falco is a renaissance man of sorts: He's a filmmaker, actor, writer, and producer, but mostly he's a musical firebrand who cranks out haunting songs that marry rockabilly and punk danger with the rhythms of Memphis blues, giving rise to a noisy but spectral "wreckabilly" sound. Falco and his ever-evolving band, the Unapproachable Panther Burns, roll through town playing numbers from 2011's Conjurations: Seance for Deranged Lovers, along with songs from his recently reissued 1982 opus, Behind the Magnolia Curtain (Fat Possum).
