At a roadblock at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Mayson Turner Road, an officer saw a green car with tinted windows go through the roadblock without stopping. The green car stopped at a payphone at a nearby Amoco Food Mart. A 23-year-old woman exited the green car. The officer pointed out that this was a roadblock, and he needed to see her driver's license and insurance card. The woman had neither.
The officer ran a computer check on the woman, and discovered that her license was suspended for failure to appear in court.
The officer arrested the woman. The officer wrote in his report, "The woman was very irrational. She advised that I should let her go, because other agencies had let her go in the past because of her good looks."
The officer smelled alcohol on the driver, a 43-year-old man from Grayson, Ga. The driver's hair was messy, he was unshaven, and his clothes appeared dirty.
After the driver failed several field sobriety exams, he was arrested for DUI. The driver asked the officer for the address of the towing company that took his car. The driver repeatedly asked if he was going to Gwinnett County Jail -- even after the officer told him he was currently in Atlanta.
While waiting for the breath test, the driver fell asleep. He woke up and again asked the officer where his car was.
"I'm drunk, how can you expect me to remember anything," said the driver.
