The manager of a bar on Peachtree Street said a man in a gray shirt and blue pants visited the bar between 8:30 and 10:45 p.m. The man ordered $51.83 worth of food and drinks and then left without paying. The man, roughly age 30, left in a green Toyota 4Runner. The manager said the man looks like the celebrity Ice Cube.
On Beaupree Street a 45-year-old man and his wife said their middle-aged neighbor poured a concrete slab that was 30 feet by 10 feet on their property. The neighbor, a man with long gray hair and a beard, admitted to police that he had poured the slab. The officer told the neighbor that if he returned to the couple's property, he would be arrested.
A 26-year-old man said a man impersonating a police officer took his money. The 26-year-old, who had been drinking, said he was parked on Federal Terrace Boulevard around 3:45 a.m. when a red Camaro pulled up behind him. A man in a police uniform exited the Camaro and told the 26-year-old to get out of the car. The man then searched the 26-year-old and took his wallet back to the Camaro. The faux policeman then returned the wallet and told the 26-year-old that he would follow him home. As the 26-year-old was driving to his house, the faux policeman made a U-turn and took off in the opposite direction. The 26-year-old said the man had a radio and was acting as if he was transmitting on the radio. The man also had a silver badge and blue lights in the car. The 26-year-old said $400 was missing from his wallet.
A 46-year-old man went through a rooming house on Sims Street and broke out all the light bulbs, screaming and yelling the whole time. He fled before police arrived.
At about 11:30 a.m. an officer saw a 30ish man lying in the grass and masturbating in a park on Peyton Road. The man "had his shirt off, pants down, and was fondling his penis in public," wrote the officer. The man, who refused to give his name, was arrested for public indecency.
A 44-year-old man said he and his wife left their home on Sandfall Court around 8 a.m. and drove to the store. When they returned, they saw that someone had vandalized their garage and front door with a crayon or marker and written, "Fuck you bitch and fuck you dumb bitch." The man has no idea who did this, but thinks it might be someone in the neighborhood.
A 22-year-old man was removed from a nightclub in Midtown and taken to the club's parking lot. An officer escorted him to a taxi, but the 22-year-old didn't want a taxi. A woman walked by, and the 22-year-old grabbed his private area and then jumped on the woman and tried to bite her. The officer pulled the 22-year-old off of the woman. Then, the 22-year-old tried to do the same thing to the officer. The 22-year-old "grabbed himself and then me," wrote the officer. The 22-year-old also tried to grab another officer. He "was handcuffed for safety reasons" and taken to jail, noted the officer. En route to jail, the man passed out in the patrol car and hit his head. He was taken to Grady. The woman who was first grabbed didn't want to prosecute.
In an apartment on Steele Avenue, an 18-year-old woman argued with her live-in boyfriend. She said the boyfriend was upset because she was wearing a miniskirt. He grabbed her head and pushed her into a wall, causing a bruise on her forehead. She said, in self-defense, she threw a five-gallon bucket at him. But the bucket missed the boyfriend and shattered the front window of their apartment. She refused medical treatment. The boyfriend was charged with battery.
An undercover officer walked into a spa on Manchester Street. A 38-year-old woman said it was $40 for a half-hour and $60 for a full hour, and tipping was allowed. The officer paid for an hour. He could choose from three girls for his session, the woman said. She led him to a dimly lit room. The officer noted, "The table was made out of PCV pipe and plywood and was covered with foam and sheets, not a regular massage table." An older female said, "You want massage?" She was dressed in a short sundress and sandals. The officer said he was told he could pick from three girls. "OK," the older woman said. A second woman, age 29, came into the room. She will be fine, said the officer. The 29-year-old told the officer to disrobe and wrap himself in a towel. She took him to the steam sauna room, then to the shower room where she rinsed him off, then back to the massage room, where she started massaging the officer. "Do you like me?" she asked. "Yes," said the officer. "Do you like me a lot?" she asked. "Yes, very much," said the officer. "You like special treatment?" asked the woman, who put her hand on the towel covering his crotch area. "Yes," said the officer. The woman held out her hand. The officer gave her $100. She "moved her hand as if to say more." The officer gave her another $100. She smiled and said she would be right back. The officer called for police backup. The woman returned to the room and put a condom in her mouth. She took off her underwear and skirt, and pulled her shirt down to expose a breast. She was charged with prostitution; the spa manager was charged with "keeping a house of prostitution."
