Formed in Queens, New York circa 1976, the Fleshtones have always been something of an enigma. Though weened in the punk era, and certainly aligned with both the energy of punk, the Fleshtones have always naturally gravitated toward something of rockabilly/garage skulk. If you’re new to these guys, start with Hexbreaker. From there, move onto Roman Gods, Beachhead, and you can take it from there. For their latest, the group has recorded Los Fleshtones Quatro x Quatro (Yep Roc), a four-song Spanish language EP.
