The hip, the hop, the dance don't stop

The Rock Steady Crew meets Alvin Ailey when RENNIE HARRIS PUREMOVEMENT returns to the Rialto on NOV. 4. A perennial Atlanta favorite, Harris fuses hip-hop movement with modern dance, creating a new form with explosive energy, narrative artistry and in-your-face athleticism. Emphasizing the role of hip-hop culture, Harris tells stories of African-American struggle, invention and exaltation. Past performances in Atlanta have had audiences on their feet and shouting out for the company's gorgeous and adept hip-hop dancers. $32-$56. 8 p.m. Rialto Center, 80 Forsyth St. 404-651-4727.
