This production is a steampunk version of Shakespeare's classic story of manipulation, revelation and redemption. In 1893 the World's Columbian Exposition opened in Chicago, Dvorak's "Symphony No. 9" premiered, and Prospero, the Duke of Milan, was deposed, exiled and set adrift at sea with his infant daughter, Miranda. In 1909 Ernest Shackleton's expedition discovered the South Pole, the Grand Isle Hurricane devastated Cuba, and Alonso, the King of Naples, shipwrecked with his crew on the shore of a strange, uncharted island. This is where North Fulton Drama Club's steampunk "The Tempest" begins
