The year in music photography

Atlanta's live music scene continued to thrive throughout 2011. With appearances from such national acts as costumed queen Lady Gaga to local MC Gripplyaz, to reunited noise punk legends Scratch Acid, to The Back Pockets' hallucinatory productions, CL's photographers were on the front lines nearly every night. They were bruised and battered in mosh pits, showered in blood, sweat, and beer, all to capture these images from some of the greatest shows that 2011 had to offer. The following collection presents some of our favorite music photography from throughout the year, from staff photographers Joeff Davis and Dustin Chambers, freelance ace Perry Julien, interns Eric Cash and Stephanie Pharr, and our very own Staff Music Writer Chad Radford.
