Horton Foote's THE YOUNG MAN FROM ATLANTA won the 1995 Pulitzer Prize for Drama, yet hasn't seen a major local production in the ensuing decade and a half. Perhaps that's because the soft-spoken drama about tensions between an aging married couple doesn't actually take place in Atlanta, but Houston in the booming 1950s, and the title character never appears on stage. For Theatrical Outfit's production, Jessica Phelps West directs a stellar cast, including artistic director Tom Key, Marianne Hammock, Frank Roberts, Tonia Jackson, Donna Biscoe, Robin Bloodworth, Andrew Benator and Tim Batten.
