See & Do - Theater: Bach at Leipzig October 03 2007

Sun., Oct. 7

Young playwright Itamar Moses looks at musical history with a nod more toward “American Idol” than Amadeus in the comedy BACH AT LEIPZIG, continuing Sun., OCT. 7, at Aurora Theatre. Moses’ loose dramatization of a footnote from the life of famed composer Johann Sebastian Bach depicts a cutthroat competition for Europe’s most prized musical post. Danielle Mindess directs a cast of funny actors, including Chris Ensweiler (pictured), Dan Triandiflou, Al Stilo, Jeremy Aggers, Daniel Burnley, Larry Davis and Jim Adkins. Through Oct. 28. $22-$25. Thurs.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2:30 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. 128 Pike St., Lawrenceville. 678-226-6222. www.auroratheatre.com.
