Theater: Blues in the Night

"For the blues is the music of strength and the music of survival," said Sheldon Epps, the original director and creator of BLUES IN THE NIGHT. To close out the 2009-2010 season, musical director JMichael and director/choreographer Patdro Harris team up again to bring Blues in the Night to Theatrical Outfit. The play follows the lives of three women and a saloon singer as they belt out tunes by such blues legends as Bessie Smith and Duke Ellington. Through May 23. $15-$35.
