Theater: Hard Love

Sun., Feb. 3

Jewish Theatre of the South will go dark in May following the production of the comedy The Last Schwartz. For the company's penultimate production, continuing Sun., FEB. 3, Susan Reid directs the powerhouse duo of Chris Kayser and JTS artistic director Mira Hirsch in acclaimed Israeli playwright Motti Lerner's HARD LOVE. Described as a fierce romantic drama involving a secular man and a religious woman from an ultra-Orthodox community in Jerusalem, Hard Love should exemplify the intelligent, challenging stagecraft that Hirsch and JTS have always championed. Through Feb. 24. $18-$30. Wed.-Thurs., Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 3 p.m. 5342 Tilly Mill Road. 770-395-2654.
