Theatrical Outfit takes a holiday tradition – watching the classic Christmas movie It’s a Wonderful Life on TV – and filters it through the media of radio and live theater. IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE: A LIVE RADIO PLAY recounts the tale of small-town saint George Bailey (Hugh Adams in Jimmy Stewart’s iconic role), who receives divine intervention when the economy takes a downturn. Theatrical Outfit’s remount of last year’s show features the same cast, including Barry Stoltze and Elizabeth Welles Berkes, who give the proceedings the snap and immediacy of a vintage broadcast going out over the airwaves, complete with live sound effects.
