See & Do - Theater: Playmaking for Girls June 16 2009

Sat., June 20

Young girls with rocky pasts get the chance to channel their energy into a creative outlet with Synchronicity Performance Group’s PLAYMAKING FOR GIRLS. Eight short plays written by formerly incarcerated teenagers, in collaboration with professional actors, will debut in a short play festival followed by a talk-back session. The plays, based on the girls’ own lives, not only teach them how to translate their experiences into art, but also create a window into their private worlds for the public. Free. 6 p.m. 7 Stages Theatre, 1105 Euclid Ave. 404-484-8636. www.synchrotheatre.com.
