Expect more than an elementary-level treatment of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s famed investigator when Jessica Phelps West directs SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE FINAL ADVENTURE, continuing Sun., AUG. 17. Lonely Planet playwright Steven Dietz won the 2007 Edgar Award for Best Mystery Play for this stage adaptation of two Holmes stories, “A Scandal in Bohemia” and “The Final Problem.” The cast includes Martin Thompson as Holmes, Charles Horton as his sidekick Dr. Watson, Barry Stoltze as his arch-nemesis Moriarty, as well as Brik Berkes, Elizabeth Wells Berkes, Kara Cantrell, Christopher Ekholm, Julianna Lee and Scott Warren.
