Theater: Spring Awakening

Tues., March 9

It's no wonder that SPRING AWAKENING won eight Tony Awards in 2007, including Best Musical. Based on the 1891 Frank Wedekind play, the show mixes a controversial storyline with music by Duncan Sheik and choreography by Bill T. Jones. In late 19th-century Germany, three teenagers discover themselves and their sexuality, to the horror of their pious parents. See why Wedekind's play was banned from the stage for nearly 100 years. $18-$55. Tues.-Fri., 8 p.m.; Sat., 2 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 1 and 6:30 p.m. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. 404-881-2100.
