Theater: The Colour Out of Space

Sat., Oct. 25

H.P. Lovecraft, the master of weird and cosmic storytelling, is regarded as the elder statesman of American horror fiction. The Atlanta Radio Theatre Company produces THE COLOUR OUT OF SPACE, bringing its unique approach of the audio mashup to the dogmatic tradition of the gothic. Based on Lovecraft's short story of the same name and adapted by Ron N. Butler, this tale challenges the human while questioning the alien. Through Oct. 26. $10. Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 2:30 p.m. Academy Theatre, 119 Center St., Avondale Estates. 404-474-8332. www.artc.org.
