Theater: The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife

Fri., Aug. 21

With a double-wide title like THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF A TRAILER TRASH HOUSEWIFE, it's no wonder it takes two theaters to stage it. Onstage Atlanta and the Process Theatre Company team up to present a "tragicomedy about domestic violence" from Del Shores, beloved playwright of Sordid Lives and Southern Baptist Sissies. The cast includes Claire Brown as long-suffering Willadean Winkler, Travis Young as her abusive husband J.D., and Caitlyn Martin as a blues singer who functions as a Greek chorus. Through Sept. 12. $17-$23. Fri.-Sat., 8 p.m.; Sun., 3 p.m. Onstage Atlanta, 2597 N. Decatur Road. 404-897-1802.
