Theater: Zora

Thursday, March 12

Just in time for Women's History Month, 7 Stages presents ZORA, the story of author and anthropologist Zora Neale Hurston. Hurston captured the dialect, traditions and history of Southern African-Americans in her books and short stories in the early 20th century. This inspiring one-woman show celebrates her life, from her Florida upbringing to her role as a Harlem Renaissance leading lady. Atlanta's own Yvonne Singh plays the politically outspoken author. Through March 15. $10-$20. Thurs., 8 p.m.; Fri., 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.; Sat., 2 and 8 p.m.; Sun., 5 p.m. 1105 Euclid Ave. 404-523-7647.
