THE PHARCYDE, MINAMINA GOODSONG, THE HEMISPHERE -- South Central L.A.'s mellow, melodic hip-hop group Pharcyde have lasted 10 years, but just because they've got a retrospective doesn't mean they're simply reliving the past. This ensemble, who helped pave the way for groups like Jurassic 5, are forging ahead, touring on their last album, Plain Rap, as well as works in progress. See Flashback, p. 85. Also on the bill are local Kaleidoscope-associated rap duo Minamina Goodsong, laid-back dark-alley cats the Hemisphere and interlude-providing DJ T'Challa. Masquerade (Ware)
