TORI AMOS, RUFUS WAINWRIGHT -- Amos' monochromatic, piano-ballad confessionals sound like the sort of sensitive, adolescent slush best left in one's teenage diary. Currently she's touring behind a new "all covers" album that includes (cough, cough) a Slayer tune (see Record Reviews). Enough said. On the bright side, Rufus Wainwright employs sweeping Tin Pan Alley, French cabaret and Broadway musical-style arrangements to showcase his wonderfully droll and literate pop songs.
