Two Urban Licks

ONE HOT SPOT: Two Urban Licks has never lost its cache or crowds. The spectacular view of the twinkling downtown skyline, the geometric red lanterns that drop from the high ceilings, and the incredible Todd Murphy painting that looms over the room create enough drama to take your breath away. If you haven't been in a while (although we have to believe many of you have – the place is still packed on most nights), it's worth returning – maybe not for dinner, but certainly for a drink.

FIERY AMERICAN FOOD: The best seat in the house is at one of the many bar chairs that surround the open kitchen manned by executive chef Cameron Thompson. Fans will be sad to know that the show-stopping, revolving rotisserie is being changed out, but there are plans for a new fire pit that sounds even niftier than the original. Let's hope so, because the wood-fired meats are the best choices on an otherwise passé menu.

MOLOTOV COCKTAILS: The restaurant's crowd-friendly "Wine Wall" contains "42 barrels of wine produced exclusively for the restaurant." But the cocktails made with "housemade infusions" are the way to go. The incendiary "Sgt. Pepper" margarita spiked with chile peppers is one of the best we've had outside of Mexico.
