Wordsmiths Books doesn't mess around when it comes to reliably cool events. And its SAVE OUR BOOKSTORE fundraiser weekend is no different. Friday night's "Saving Bookstores Is AWESOME!!! Night of AWESOME!!!" features a reading by Jack Pendarvis, a performance from Atlanta indie rockers Sealions, and a silent robot auction – the auctioning of actual robots in their various guises. Paying homage to the King himself, Big Mike Geier and his KINGSIZED crew will be at the Variety Playhouse for his annual death-day tribute to the one and only Elvis Presley. Reworking classic Elvis standards, Kingsized will bring a touch of Vegas to the Little Five Points hot spot.
