Grand Hustle Presents In Da Streetz, Volume 4

The fourth installment of this series from Atlanta rapper T.I.’s label Grand Hustle is the first to see mainstream release. But it still feels like a local, street mix tape, with plenty of references to the ATL and barely censored verbiage.

Throughout, the performers aren’t shy about declaring their expensive tastes — female group Xtaci lets it be known that they ain’t “Reebok broads” on “Take Me to the Mall,” while Young Dro asks what we know about tilapia (a white fish that’s actually quite reasonable in price) on the hook of “Grand Hustle Mafia.” There’s even a token R&B track, “Tell ‘Em What They Wanna Hear” by Rashad (assisted by T.I. and Young Dro), which, with its dripping sarcasm, may just be one of the most genius songs to come from the genre in a minute. Serve this respectable collection up with a little Grey Poupon on the side. 3 stars
