Visual art: Folk Fest

The 15th annual FOLK FEST features a wide range of self-taught/outsider art, antiques, Southern folk pottery and more from the 100 galleries and dealers that come in from around the country to fill the 80,000 square feet of space Fri.-Sun., AUG. 15-17. Friday's opening and meet-the-artist party includes a free 15th anniversary T-shirt and admission to the rest of the weekend. And a first this year, singer/songwriter Daniel Johnston, whose artwork will be featured at Folk Fest, will perform some short sets throughout Saturday. (His work also graces this year's T-shirt.)
