Realist JOHN WINSLOW fills his bright, layered paintings of stage sets with reflective surfaces, energy and movement. Painting offers a window into another world, but Winslow's work, on view today, Tues., MARCH 6, offers multiple windows, leaving it up to us to choose which one we believe. Within the paintings, a variety of performers act out strange dramas – walking on tightropes, doing midair flips, dangling suspended inside giant soap bubbles or dancing the Watusi dressed in business suits – both on stage and behind the scenes. It is a tribute to his engaging technique that we want to stroll, visually at least, through these sets, looking for more. Through March 17. Free. Tues.-Fri., 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Sat., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Trinity Gallery, 315 E. Paces Ferry Road. 404-237-0370. www.trinitygallery.com.
