Visual art: Louvre Atlanta

This weekend marks the end of the High Museum's unprecedented three-year collaboration with the Musée du Louvre in Paris, LOUVRE ATLANTA. The final exhibition, The Louvre and the Masterpiece, features 91 works of art spanning 4,000 years, including paintings, sculpture, decorative arts and drawings from the likes of Jan Vermeer, Georges de La Tour, Michelangelo, Rembrandt and Dürer. As an added treat, the High hosts a special College Night Sat., SEPT. 12, inviting students and guests to browse the exhibit, participate in craft workshops with Jen Morris and Cristina Vidal of Young Blood Gallery & Boutique, and enjoy a showing of the film The City of the Louvre. DJ Tabone, Tealights and Jimi Cravity will be on hand to provide tunes throughout the night. Louvre Atlanta: Through Sept. 13. Free-$18.
