Visual art: Marcus Institute benefit

Fri., July 25

From the "doing two things at once" file, Krause Gallery is offering a chance to see work by a range of local, national and international artists and support a good cause at the same time. Krause Gallery's AUTISTIC, ARTISTIC opens Fri., JULY 25, during Castleberry Hill's monthly 4th Friday Art Stroll. Check out Hadley Breckenridge's textural, abstract photography; Barbara Wilson's disturbing, Gustave Klimt-influenced oil paintings; or any of the 24 other artists represented in the auction. Krause hopes you'll bring your checkbook, too: Proceeds benefit the Marcus Institute for children with developmental disabilities. Don't be a scrooge. It's for the children! Through Aug. 19. Free. Mon.-Tues., by appointment only; Wed., 1-5:30 p.m., or by appointment; Thurs.-Sat., noon-5:30 p.m., or by appointment. 291 Peters St. 404-522-6205. www.krausegallery.com.
