Atlanta artist Sarah Emerson pirouettes between abject horror and whimsical fairy tale in SOFT TRAP, her tragically romantic paintings that reel from the awe nature inspires and the apathetic destruction of the environment and civilization. Emerson brings Carol Clover's theories from the pages of feminist academia to a collection of drawings in "The Final Girl," Clover's coined term for the lone female survivor of horror films. Jeff Grant's multimedia works also explore themes of urban encroachment. Through Oct. 10. Free. Opening reception, 7 p.m.; Wed.-Sat., 11 a.m.-5 p.m.; and by appointment.
