Visual art: Stand!

Tues., July 22

It's like 1968 all over again. Planned in conjunction with the National Black Arts Festival, the Rialto Center for the Arts features STAND!, an exhibition of Civil Rights-era photography by a duo of Atlanta-based photographers, continuing Tues., JULY 22. Stand! joins the city's Civil Rights mania, as evidenced by a similarly themed exhibition currently at the High Museum, and Bruce Davidson's recent solo show at Jackson Fine Art. At the Rialto, Bud Smith and Jim Alexander offer their take on the subject matter; turbulent stuff from a turbulent time. Through Sept. 25. Free. Mon.-Fri., 11 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Rialto Center for the Arts, 80 Forsyth St. 404-413-9849.
