Visual Arts: La Calaveras Pop

Head Strong

Partners in crime John Tindel and Michi form TindelMichi, a synergetic art-making Atlanta duo. The self-described "fat Southern boys who paint" bring rural flare to contemporary art's often urban landscape and vice versa. LA CALAVERAS POP, their current show at Foundation One Studios, translates from Spanish to English as Pop Skulls. From secret societies to tattoo parlors to reality TV, the exhibit considers the skull's role as a pop-culture icon. Through March 10. Free. Sat., Feb. 10, 7-11 p.m.; Tues.-Fri., noon-6 p.m.; Sat., by appointment. 627-B E. College Ave., Decatur. 404-806-0925.
