See & Do - Visual Arts: Land/Scape at Sandler Hudson Gallery April 23 2008

Wed., April 23

The main space of west Midtown’s Sandler Hudson Gallery showcases LAND/SCAPE, continuing Wed., APRIL 23. Peruvian nature photographer Fernando La Rosa aims for an emotive take on landscape photography rather than the more traditional approach of simplistic documentation of place, while Alabama-raised Frances De La Rosa’s large abstracted oil landscapes offer a dreamy, minimal quality. Emerging Atlanta artist Sharon Lapin simultaneously exhibits her Patterns series in the front gallery, which incorporates silk-screen prints and encaustic wax. Through May 17. Free. Tues.-Fri., 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sat., noon-5 p.m. 1009-A Marietta St. 404-817-3300. www.sandlerhudson.com.
