Tempting fate in this summertime drought, the Spruill Gallery is in the final weeks of its packed-to-the-rafters, highly flammable annual LOOKS GOOD ON PAPER show, comprised of more than 300 artists. In an exhibit this big, every wall and floor surface is called into duty. A solo show by Jeffry Loy fills the rest of the available space with an atmospheric sculpture installation that has a sci-fi-meets-medical-gothic, dime-show flavor. Literally playing with fire, Loy also ornaments the Spruill Gallery grounds with his flaming sculptures, which he will ignite and discuss at a Sat., AUG. 25, artist talk. Bring the kids, but warn them ahead of time that only artists should play with matches. Through Sept. 8. Free. Artist talk: 8:30-10 p.m. Gallery: Wed.-Sat., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. 4681 Ashford Dunwoody Road. 770-394-4019. www.spruillarts.org/gallery.
