PITCHING, an exhibition by artists Radcliffe Bailey and Alejandro Aguilera, on view Tues., MARCH 27, strives to present a poignant, noncolonial view of art through the perspectives of African-Americans, Cubans and what Aguilera has referred to as other “so-called primitive cultures.” The exhibit features a baseball team, called the Liberators, whose roster includes past and present African-American heroes such as Marcus Garvey and is intended to encourage friendship and mutual recognition between cultures. Through April 21. Free. Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m.-4 p.m.; Sat., noon-4 p.m. Emory University Visual Arts Building and Gallery, 700 Peavine Creek Drive. 404-727-6315. www.visualarts.emory.edu.
